SOLAR PARK SOUTH
The Competition called for the reuse of an abandoned highway that winds its way through the hills of southern Italy with a series of tunnels and viaducts. Four major proposals integrate the roadway into the community with a series of low cost interventions .
1-a system of light prefabricated “artist studios” provide low-cost work spaces for rent to artists from around the world who wish to practice their art in Southern Italy, with the panoramic view of the sea. The effect at night is an almost pixilated digital reinterpretation of the bridge, through use of light.
2-bike lanes, walking areas, and areas for local artists and merchants to sell their work are established. Platforms connect the artist studios using the thickness and height of the viaducts’ structural beams.
3- incorporates transit for the influx of visitors and sightseers looking to fully experience the area. A continuous land/water loop is established with an amphibious bus providing an unforgettable “slow-food” dining experience through the hills and along the coast. The diners will have a front seat to the spectacle of linear light passing through the mountains, an incredible fusion of land-art and technology.
4- utilizes the space within the tunnels: including, but not limited to, swimming and hot bathing, sports and recreation, marketplaces, art galleries, and the inclusion of areas for testing the performance of renewable energies.

ソーラーパーク南
イタリア南部の海岸淵にある使われなくなった高速道路7.5キロを有効に再利用するアイデアを求めるというコンペティションが行われた。私たちは道路をコミュニティーに低予算で組み込む４つの提案をした。
1-既存の一つの橋に工場で製作されたたくさんのアトリエを谷底まで吊るし、世界中からこの地域で活動をしたいアーティストにアトリエを貸し出す。アーティストはすばらしいパノラマのなかで制作をする。夜にはこれらが輝き、デジタル化された抽象的な橋のイメージが浮き上がる。
2-自転車と歩行者のための専用道が引かれ、製作された作品を販売する店舗ができる。いくつかのプラットフォームが地方のアーティストのアトリエを繋げる。
3-観光客やビジターがここを完全体験するための移動交通システムが組み込まれる。海岸沖と丘を連続してめぐる水陸両用のバスに乗ったレストランが稼動する。客は歩行速度でクルーズをするレストランに乗って、ある時は崖から見下ろす海を、ある時は海から崖を仰ぎながら、ゆっくりと変わる眺望を楽しみながら食事をする。山々を透過する光のスペクタクルの中、信じられないほどのランドアートとテクノロジーの融合を体験する。
4-数あるトンネルの内部はプール、温浴、スポーツ、リクリエーション 市場、アートギャラリー、として使われ、再生可能なエネルギーの稼動試験のエリアなどが含まれる。
