This research laboratory specializing in the treatment of multiple sclerosis and is associated with the clinical work of the adjacent facilities.
The laboratories are integrated into the clinic with a layout that is enhances communication among the staff and allows direct communication between the practicing physicians and scientists. The visibility of the research laboratories gives patients, doctors, nurses, and researchers insight into the continuing research to find a cure.
The researchers did not require natural light in the laboratories, but when moving in and out from the labs researchers they are refreshed with the natural light and views. Glass clearstories provide light to corridors and extend the internal spaces. Windows into the labs provide views of the working environment and orientation points, as well as insight into the work being done. The staff lounge was designed to provide an ample break space from the intense study and a space to mingle with the clinical staff.

この研究室は多発性硬化症の治療に特化しており、隣接する施設の臨床業務と連携している。研究室はクリニックと一体化されており、スタッフ間のコミュニケーションを強化し、勤務する医師と科学者の間で直接コミュニケーションを図ることができるレイアウトになっている。 研究室が可視化されることで、患者、医師、看護師、研究者は、治療法を見つけるための継続的な研究について洞察を得ることができる。
研究者たちは研究室に自然光を必要としないが、研究室に出入りするときは自然光と景色でリフレッシュする。 ガラス製のクリアストーリーは廊下に光をもたらし、内部空間を拡張する。 研究室への窓からは、作業環境やオリエンテーションポイントが見えるだけでなく、行われている作業についての洞察も得られる スタッフラウンジは、集中的な研究からの十分な休憩スペースと臨床スタッフとの交流のスペースを提供するように設計されてる。
