BEACON THEATERThe city of Beacon is home to the DIA foundation located in the heart of the Hudson valley, making it an exciting new spot for viewing and creating contemporary art and culture. The Beacon Theater will be the home of the growing performing arts cultural of the city.Housed in an existing theater built in 1885 a 940 seat multi use music hall with full stage house will be used for; music, theatre, spoken word, dance, puppetry and popular and specialty cinema in the renovated main hall. An experimental performance space seating 150 for rehearsals and small scale productions will be created within the existing structure. Commanding a roof top view of the surrounding mountains a multi level lounge-The Wonder Bar- will feature live music, fine food and a glorious view. The building will be designed to LEED standards and will feature state of the art facilities for the artists and the audience.

ビーコン-パフォーマンス スペース、ニューヨーク
ビーコン市はマンハッタンから急行列車で約一時間北上したところ、ハドソン川の中央部に位置する。ビーコンは近年DIA美術館のができてから、現代アートと文化のためのエキサイティングな新しいスポットになっている。る。本プロジェクトでは、成長しつつあるパフォーマンス芸術の新しい核をこのビーコンにつくることが目論まれた。 そのために町の中心にある1885年に建設された劇場を、アートパフォーマンスのための多目的空間に大きく改造すること計画された。既存構造物の中に音楽、演劇、ダンス、映画のための940席のホール、リハーサルや小作品のための150席の実験空間が作られる。屋上にはライブ音楽と食事と周囲のすばらしい山の景観が堪能できるラウンジが作られる。この設計はLeed基準にしたがってなされている。この計画はニューヨークを逃れたアーチストのコミュニティーの成長と文化ツーリズムを支援する。
今後さらにビーコン市がマンハッタン、コネチカット、ハドソン川の全域にわたる、文化的ハブ都市となることが期待される。数年後に完成の予定である。 |
