The new home for Jazz at Lincoln Center is located in the Time Warner Center at Columbus Circle. Three intimate performance venues specifically designed for the making of Jazz music are located in this performing arts complex.

The focus of the 500 seat Allen room’s is a 50 foot by 90 foot window onto Central Park. The 1,230 seat Rose Hall can be reconfigured with the use of movable seating towers. Each tower seats 12 and is moved on air castors to provide a clear stage for dance or opera productions. Dizzy’s Club, a small scale club/restaurant also utilizes the view of Central Park as the main theme of the room; the curving bamboo walls form a warm backdrop to the cool evening skyline of New York.

In addition to the 3 separate venues for listening to Jazz, the Jazz Hall of Fame, an education center, a recording studio and support spaces are located in the facility.

Sandra McKee was the project director for this 157,000sf project in the office of Rafael Vinoly Architects.
